Yoga and its 8 types

YOGA Yoga is a way of life. The word Yoga coming from the Sanskrit word 'Yuj'.  The word 'Yuj' means 'to unite'. The ultimate aim of yoga is to unite our soul with the universal soul or with god. It teaches us how to live a happy and healthy life. Nowadays many people think that yoga is something only doing physical and breathing exercises but this is not true.  Doing physical and breathing exercises is a small part of yoga. It connects our minds with our bodies. In yoga, we have to move forward step by step, only then we will be able to achieve the final stage that is 'samadhi'. Based on these steps yoga is divided into eight types.   Eight types of yoga : 1)  YAMA According to the Patanjali Yoga Sutra, this is the first step of yoga among the eight parts of yoga. Yama is basically how you behave outwardly towards other beings. It includes Non-Violence, Truthfulness, Non-Stealing, Brahmcharya Moderation, Freedom from Grasping.    2) NIYAMA There are fiv
